  1. 2.1latest2.1 — Scrollable tabs + update-check fixSep 2, 2026
Fixed · "Update available" warning on a fresh install. The 2.0 jar was built with an internal version of 1.1, so every server compared 1.1 against the published 2.0 and warned on startup. 2.1 reports its real version. · Update checker now asks Spiget first and only falls back to the SpigotMC legacy API, so it sees new releases within minutes instead of hours. Added · Unlimited tabs. The tab row used to cut off after 9 categories. With more than 9 (datapacks like BlazeandCave's add dozens), the row becomes a scroll strip: 7 tabs at a time with ◀ more tabs / more tabs ▶ arrows on each end, showing "tabs 8–14 of 17" and which tab you're viewing. · Config: update-check.enabled to turn the checker off entirely, and update-check.notify-on-join to tell ops (anyone with advancementtracker.version) in chat when a new version is out, with a click-to-open link. · /advancements version now links straight to the Spigot page when an update is out. Drop-in replacement for 2.0; the two new config keys are added automatically.

  2. 2.02.0 — Rewritten from the ground upJul 21, 2026
This isn't a patch — it's a brand new plugin. Every line of code has been rewritten from scratch on the modern Paper API (26.1.2+), with a completely new GUI and a set of features the old version never had. All-new GUI · Category tabs (Story, Nether, The End, Adventure, Husbandry — datapack tabs appear automatically) with the real advancement icons, laid out in tree order. · Completed advancements glow gold; the selected tab glints; long descriptions wrap cleanly instead of stretching the tooltip. · Filter button (all / incomplete / completed), smooth pagination, and an at-a-glance stats head with your overall % and task / goal / challenge tallies. New features · View anyone — /advancements <player> now works even while they're offline. · Server-wide rarity — every advancement shows how many players on your server have earned it, e.g. 3/12 players (25%). · Real progress bars — multi-part advancements like Adventuring Time show a live bar and count. Requirement-aware, so "kill any one of 30 mobs" never renders as a misleading 1/30. · Completion dates, hidden advancements masked as ??? until earned, and a built-in update checker. Faster and lighter · All file reading (offline players, rarity scanning) runs off the main thread — zero TPS impact. · The advancement tree is indexed once at startup, not rebuilt per click; menus re-render in place with no reopen flicker. · No database, no dependencies, and recipe clutter is filtered out at the source. Upgrading: delete your old plugins/AdvancementTracker folder (the config is brand new), drop the jar in, restart. Requires Paper 26.1.2 or newer.

  4. 8.11.25.1Category-Specific Progress with Hover InfoOct 11, 2025
What's New Category-Specific Progress When you complete an advancement, instead of showing overall progress, it now shows progress for that specific category. Example: · Complete "Stone Age" from the Story category · Message shows: "Story progress: 1/16 (6.3%)" · Complete "Ice Bucket Challenge" from the Nether category · Message shows: "Nether progress: 3/9 (33.3%)" This gives you more useful information about which categories you're progressing in. Hover for Details Hover over the progress message in chat to see: · The advancement name · The advancement description This lets you quickly remind yourself what you just completed without opening the GUI. Categories Tracked · Story · Nether · The End · Adventure · Husbandry Why This Matters Before: You'd see "Progress: 50/124" but wouldn't know which category you were progressing in. Now: You see exactly which category you're making progress in and can hover to see what you did. This update is live now. No configuration changes needed.
