This plugin is a simple plugin purely designed to make your chat more colorfull.
With a gui to pick from and only a few permissions to go with it should work on most versions available today.

I've always used ChatColor+ on my server for the chat but since its no longer updated(unsure on premium version) decided to make my own, tho with less features.

Right now, as is, the plugin ONLY does chat related things.

Placeholders(Requires: PlaceholderAPI to work) can be used to then chat with plugins such as chatcontrol(pro) and/or its bungee function.
To do this simply use add the placeholder "chatcolor.playercolor" to any plugin supporting placeholderapi

Commands:
/color
/chatcolor

Permissions:
chatcolor.open - Allows you to open the chatcolor gui
chatcolor.color.all - Allows you to use any color.
chatcolor.color.<color> - Gives access to <color>.

Note: Colors such as "dark red" and "dark blue" should be seen as spaceless. IE chatcolor.color.darkblue not chatcolor.color.dark_blue or other.

Not all versions have been tested tho most should work regardless.
