Conquest Recipes

Description
Conquest Recipes adds custom crafting recipes for themed weapons, armour and materials, made to match the textures of the Conquest resource pack. The items include primitive stone, bone and wooden weapons, bronze and steel tools and blades, Greek plate and bronze helmets, Mesoamerican gear such as macuahuitls, chimalli shields and eagle and jaguar helmets, and crafting materials like copper, tin, bronze ingots and steel ingots. Players make them at an ordinary crafting table. It suits roleplay, historical and conquest-style servers that want era-appropriate gear without a mod. Without a resource pack the items look like their vanilla base items.

Commands and permissions

  • /cr list (or /conquestrecipes list): list the craftable items, a page at a time. Needs conquestrecipes.listitems (everyone by default).
  • /cr get <item>: give yourself an item. Needs conquestrecipes.get (ops by default).
  • conquestrecipes.default (everyone) and conquestrecipes.admin (ops) grant the default and all commands.

Requirements
A Spigot server or a fork of it. No other plugins are required. A resource pack is needed only for the custom textures.

Installation

  1. Download the jar from this page (the download button links to the stable release on GitHub), or run /dpm get conquestrecipes with Dan's Plugin Manager.
  2. Place the jar in your server's plugins folder.
  3. Restart the server.

Supported versions
Release 2.0.0 runs on Minecraft 1.19.4, 1.21.11 and 26.2 (Spigot and its forks): it was started on a real server of each version, where it enabled cleanly, registered every command, stopped cleanly and started a second time on the data it wrote. Every release from now on is started on each version the plugin supports ( minecraft-versions.json in the repository) before it is published.

Release channels
This page mirrors the stable channel: the latest non-prerelease GitHub release. A dev pre-release built from every push to the default branch is available on GitHub for testing ( /dpm get --experimental). Details: Release channels.

Usage reporting
Usage reporting is on by default: when the plugin is enabled, and each time one of its commands is used, it sends its name, its version and the command's name to the author's trace server at https://trace.danielstephenson.dev, so it is known which plugins are actually in use. Nothing about players, worlds, IP addresses or the server is sent, and nothing typed after a command. The plugin prints one line on every startup saying whether reporting is on and, if not, why.

To turn it off:

  • for this plugin only: usage-reporting.enabled: false in plugins/Conquest-Recipes/config.yml
  • for every plugin on the server that reports to trace: enabled: false in plugins/trace/config.yml (created on first start; plugins never turn it back on)
  • for the whole server process: the environment variable TRACE_USAGE_REPORTING=off or DO_NOT_TRACK=1
