ConsoleChat

1.6

Provides a more useful method of chatting from console

·Plugin

Allows you to send a msg to a player or to all players from console with whatever prefix/suffix you wish, so you can emulate chat from a regular player.

Notice: Any time you see a semicolon in the commands, I mean a colon. I can't use colon sometimes because colon P comes out as :p lol

Commands:

CC ;PREFIX
consolechat.set.prefix
consolechat.send
consolechat.send.code
consolechat.send.global
consolechat.send.global.code

Running this without passing a prefix value will show the current prefix. The reason there are five nodes for permission is that it doesn't have its own "show" node; simple, if a user can send a msg at all or set the prefix they can view the current prefix. Any of those nodes will qualify to allow for viewing.

CC ;PREFIX prefix
consolechat.set.prefix
Sets the prefix for messages.

CC ;PREFIX :code prefix
consolechat.set.prefix.code
Sets a custom prefix. This way you can have a "global" prefix but be able to change the prefix on the fly without affecting the global. Handy if you want to be able to emulate users in the chat.

CC ;PREFIX
consolechat.set.suffix
consolechat.send
consolechat.send.code
consolechat.send.global
consolechat.send.global.code

Running this without passing a suffix value will show the current suffix. Permissions are as explained in cc ;prefix

CC :SUFFIX suffix
consolechat.set.suffix
Sets the suffix for messages

/CC :RELOAD
consolechat.reload
Reloads the configuration from disk

CC :CONSOLE
consolechat.toggle.console
Toggles whether or not only the console can use this command

CC :SEEGLOBAL
consolechat.toggle.seeglobal
Toggles whether or not you will see the output of a global message

CC player message
consolechat.send
Sends a message to the player

CC player :code message
consolechat.send.code
Sends a message to the player using a custom prefix code

CC * message
CCG message
consolechat.send.global
Sends a message to all online players

CC * :code message
CCG :code message
consolechat.send.global.code
Sends a message to all online players using a custom prefix code

When setting a prefix/suffix, it joins all arguments after the command to make the data. So if you do cc ;prefix my name is strahan, then when you chat the whole line is your prefix. So using what is above, if you type cc * hello everyone sees "my name is strahanhello". Obviously, you don't want it to run together so you need to put a space at the end. You can't use quotes, as they will go into the prefix as a literal so what you can do is cc ;prefix my name is strahan &r for example. I put a trailing space then a color code. The color code at the end will determine what color your chat line is, so in that example it resets colors so defaults to white. If you want your chat line to red, you'd end with &c for example.[/SIZE]
