DebugStickPro 0.5.3 This release focuses on safer administration, broader server compatibility, and predictable upgrades. It is recommended for all 0.5.2 installations, especially servers that use Freeze mode, delegate Debug Stick access to staff, or run Paper/Folia. Before you upgrade · One JAR supports Spigot, Paper, and Folia from Minecraft 1.19.4 through 26.2. Paper remains the primary and recommended platform. · PacketEvents 2.13.0 or later is required. Update PacketEvents before installing DebugStickPro 0.5.3. · VirtualEntities is bundled in DebugStickPro; do not install it separately. · The plugin JAR targets Java 17. Use the Java version required by your selected server release. · Back up plugins/DebugStickPro/config.yml and plugins/DebugStickPro/lang/, stop the server, replace the old JAR, and perform a full restart. Do not use Bukkit's global /reload for this upgrade. Configuration and permission review Existing configuration and language files are now upgraded in place. Missing keys are added from 0.5.3 defaults while existing values and translations are preserved. You no longer need to delete customized files during an upgrade. · ConfigVersion is now 8 and bundled language files use LangFileVersion 5. · BlockFilter adds material-level allowlists and denylists. It is disabled by default. · BlockDataFilter.AllowUnsafeBisectedData defaults to false. This hides the half property for multi-block structures such as doors and double plants, preventing invalid pairs and duplicate drops. Set it to true only if trusted staff explicitly need the former behavior and you accept that risk. · debugstickpro.bypassblockfilter bypasses material filters. · debugstickpro.bypassblacklist bypasses the entire block-data blacklist. · debugstickpro.bypassblacklist.<type> bypasses one block-data entry, such as debugstickpro.bypassblacklist.waterloggeddata. · debugstickpro.admin includes the new bypass permissions. Review permission-manager parent nodes and wildcards if administrators should remain subject to filters. · Custom locale files receive missing entries from English when no bundled locale exists. Review newly added English values after the first startup if you maintain custom translations. Platform and operational changes · Freeze displays now use the bundled VirtualEntities implementation and platform-aware scheduling, including Folia region scheduling. · Player locales are resolved through a Paper-aware compatibility layer with a Spigot fallback, so automatic language selection works from the same JAR on all supported platforms. · Minecraft 26.2 BlockData types are supported, and BlockData values shown to players are localized. · Action-bar and localization work has been reduced, including fewer unnecessary target ray traces and cached translation lookups. · /dsp mode now requires the player to hold a DebugStickPro-issued stick and gives localized feedback when that requirement is not met. Safety and interaction fixes · Freeze mode no longer allows piston movement to duplicate or corrupt frozen and dependent blocks. · Unsafe half editing for multi-block structures is blocked by default, preventing double-plant drop duplication. · Right-clicking a frozen block releases that exact block instead of freezing the block behind it. · A block that was already a barrier before freezing is displayed as a barrier again after unfreezing, rather than as air. · Classic and Copy modes honor Bukkit's exact clicked block. Short collision shapes such as candles no longer redirect the action to the full block behind them, and off-hand follow-up interactions no longer undo the requested change. · Freeze state restoration, reload cleanup, player-data initialization, flower-bed bounds, and interactions with blocks that expose no editable BlockData were corrected. Validation The release commit is 4e6c905a5ae7349168110ce1ba87984c96ac406f. CI built the plugin and passed the complete supported Paper/Folia startup matrix. Representative Paper, Folia, and Spigot versions also passed in-game command, item, locale, Classic/Copy targeting, Freeze lifecycle, and native-barrier restoration checks.
