defCoreLib
0.3.2shared core utils library for def9a2a4 plugins (better banners, vertical slabs, mechanisms, more to come)
0.3.2latestdefCoreLib 0.3.2Jul 24, 2026 DefCoreLib v0.3.2 Hosts the new Railbound content and adds an optional dynamic-light hook. (https://modrinth.com/plugin/dynlight) - Ships the Railbound cart and rail blocks and drives the train, fuel, coupling, and special-rail logic when the Railbound companion is installed (recipes gated by it; without it the blocks exist via /defcorelib give but aren't craftable and trains don't drive). - Optional DynLight integration: a lit blast-furnace cart emits dynamic light via the DynLight plugin (no hard dependency; inert when absent). Moving mechanisms now emit their light at the block rather than the pivot.0.3.1defCoreLib 0.3.1Jul 20, 2026 DefCoreLib v0.3.1 Fluid handling arrives: a core fluid framework, the Copper Water Pump, fluid-carrying pipes, a water-gated sieve, and a burner -> boiler -> steam piston power stack. Also: tiered machine power, banners that survive riding mechanisms, and automatic migration of legacy pipes. FLUID HANDLING (NEW) - New core fluid framework: whole-bucket water/lava units, an endpoint registry (machine tank > cauldron > world source), per-machine tanks, and a routing seam that the Pipes plugin plugs into. - Copper Water Pump: floor-mounted machine that moves one bucket per cycle from below to a tank, cauldron, or pipe chain above. Wrench to reverse. A blocked route stalls the pump; fluid is never destroyed. Water only -- lava pumping is reserved for a future iron-tier pump. - Steam stack: burner -> boiler -> steam piston, a new fuel-driven power source supplying 20 power. An empty-hand click reads out the stack status and names whatever is missing (fuel, water, boiler). - Pipes carry fluids (pipes plugin): one bucket-unit per pump cycle travels the chain, corners included, to the first accepting endpoint. Every variant carries water; only iron pipes carry lava end to end. A dead-ended chain stalls the pump instead of spilling. - Sieve now requires water: fill its tank by pipe or bucket; each batch of pans drinks one unit. A dry sieve idles with a dust cue. NEW MACHINE: SIEVE - Powered panning machine, wall-mounted on a container like the millstone and press. Washes gravel, sand, red sand, dirt, and soul sand into flint, nuggets, and rare finds (gems included, at low odds). MACHINE POWER TIERS AND BALANCE - Machines now draw power by work value (fan/placer 2, suction hopper 3, press/pump 4, drill/millstone 5, sieve 10) instead of a flat 1, so a starter windmill no longer runs everything. The engine supplies 10. - Piston cores and chain hoists still draw 1 but move at half speed. - Sieve loot chances reduced across the board; sand's rare drop is now quartz instead of raw gold (red sand still pans raw gold). - Fixed: chance-based recipes (sieve, millstone glass->sand) no longer consume input while the output container below is full -- the machine stalls like the mill and press do. BANNERS RIDE MECHANISMS - BetterBanners displays and vanilla banners (patterns intact) on a moving mechanism are carried in transit and re-attached on landing. If the landing spot can't host the banner, it drops as an item -- banners are never silently destroyed. Banners on rope links that a chain hoist reels in drop as items too. - Fixed a crash when a moved wall banner had to drop as an item. LEGACY PIPE MIGRATION (pipes plugin) - Pipes placed with the old standalone plugin (v0.2.0 and earlier), which stopped working under v0.3.0, are now automatically adopted into the current format as their chunks load; /pipes migrate sweeps all loaded chunks on demand. Stray displays from broken legacy pipes are cleaned up. The migration shim will be removed in v0.4.0. RECIPES - New craft recipes for the sieve, Copper Water Pump, burner, boiler, and steam piston. The mech plugin soft-depends on Pipes: with Pipes installed the pump recipe uses a copper pipe as the valve body; without it the pump recipe is simply not registered. ADVANCEMENTS (mech plugin) - 16 new advancement nodes: "use" milestones for eight machines and components, an operator capstone required by Grand Engineer, ore branches to precious/netherite, panning treasure, and Pan Handler for crafting the sieve. - Fixed: products delivered straight into a container below now count toward product advancements; suction-hopper pass-through no longer false-grants; "Bound Together" fires on brushing glue, not the first assembly. OTHER - Water wheel and boiler now sit on sealed copper-chest tile entities; adjacent custom chest blocks no longer render merged/offset. Water wheels placed before v0.3.1 keep working unchanged. - The pump and boiler now face the player who places them, and the pump body stretches up to meet a horizontal corner pipe above. - Visual polish: pump intake and valve art, boiler flame placement, larger steam piston head, unified machine smoke particles. - New events for companion plugins: GlueAppliedEvent, MachineActedEvent, MachineProducedEvent. - Docs: fluids design doc; the 3D block viewer renders water and lava as tinted translucent cubes; showcases updated for the power tiers.0.3.0defCoreLib 0.3.0Jul 16, 2026 many core changes and updates0.1.0defCoreLib 0.1.0Jul 2, 2026 initial release
