Overview

DisasterX is a premium Minecraft plugin that introduces highly configurable natural disasters into your server, dropping incredible dynamic challenges onto players. Built with incredible immersive mechanics, DisasterX adds unique environmental chaos while scaling gameplay difficulty during every event.

Features

• Complete system for 9 natural disasters: Tsunami, Flood, Earthquake, Tornado, Blizzard, Drought, Volcano, Meteor Shower, and Zombie Apocalypse!
• Disasters feature dynamic real-time effects like rotating tornado particles, temporary lava/meteor explosions, safe-ticking environmental damage, and sync'd storm states.
• IMPROVED WARNING SYSTEM:
  • Customizable pre-disaster timers alerting players on their screens.
  • Broadcasts cinematic Titles, ActionBars, synchronized sound alerts, and BossBars to all players.
• PER-DISASTER DIFFICULTY SCALING:
  • Disasters can actively modify hostile mobs spawning during the event.
  • Scale mob damage, health, and speed.
  • Dynamically outfit monsters with configurable Armor or apply Glowing custom names.

Commands

• /disasterx gui - Opens the Admin Control Panel GUI
• /disasterx start <disaster> - Forces a specific disaster to start warnings
• /disasterx stop - Stops all currently active disasters immediately
• /disasterx reload - Reloads all configuration files
• /disasterx info - Displays plugin information and command help

Configuration

The plugin generates a detailed config.yml on first run:

config.yml - Controls all disaster properties:

• Global Settings:

  • warning-countdown: Timer in seconds before a disaster fully hits.
  • interval-between-disasters: Timer automating random disaster cycles (in seconds, set to -1 to disable).
  • disabled-worlds: List of worlds entirely safe from automated disasters.

• Disaster Specific Settings:

  • Target specific durations for every disaster individually.
  • Configure precise mechanics (e.g. pull-strength for Tornados, freeze-damage for Blizzards, or giant-spawn-chance for the Zombie Apocalypse).
  • Tweak mob difficulty multipliers exclusively per disaster (e.g. 5x spawn rates and 3x health during an apocalypse).

Easily integrate these placeholders into your scoreboards:

• %disasterx_active% - Name of the currently active disaster.
• %disasterx_time_left% - How long the current disaster has remaining.
• %disasterx_next_disaster% - Details of upcoming scheduled events.
• %disasterx_countdown% - The current warning timer ticking down.

Compatibility

Works natively with Minecraft versions 1.13 and above. (Tested up through 1.21.11)
Compatible with Spigot, Paper, and Purpur servers.
Built with safety in mind to coexist with other popular plugins.

Installation

1. Place the DisasterX-1.0.jar file in your server's plugins folder
2. Restart your server
3. The plugin will generate configuration files on first run in the plugins/DisasterX folder
4. Customize settings in the generated config files safely as needed
