[Discontinued] MobSpawnLimiter
1.0.2-ALPHA[1.7-1.19] Customise your own limits to natural mob spawning!
Warning
I discontinued this plugin on 29 August 2020, there is a possibility that it will come back if more free time comes along.
It should still work perfectly for all versions listed above.
Feel free to check out my newer resources :)
If you want me to re-continue this plugin, leave a like or review so I can see that there is still demand for the resource.
Thanks!
Old Description
♦ MobSpawnLimiter ♦
Easily limit the natural spawning of mobs on your server by working with an easy configuration.
♦ Features
- Limit the spawning of mobs of your choice with a chance out of 10
- Easy and straightforward configuration, accompanied with comments so you know what you're doing.
- Extremely lightweight on your server.
- No bloat, the plugin does exactly what it says on the tin.
- Multiversion compatibility as you specify your own entity types.
♦ What will be added in the future
- Increase chance from /10 to /100 for extra detail if a server owner really needs it
- Being able to specify spawn reasons which MSL will take action on. Currently it only affects naturally spawned mobs.
♦ Use cases
- Limiting the amount of certain entities that naturally spawn on your server
- There are too many of one type of entity that spawn on your server.
- You want to restrict the amount of an entity type that spawns as it will benefit your server's economy doing so.
- An entity type is causing too much lag.
♦ How to install the plugin
- If your server is currently online, please shut it down using /stop.
- Download the latest MobSpawnListener version from the Spigot resources page.
- Move the downloaded file to your /plugins/ folder.
- Start up your server to generate the configuration files.
- Configure the plugin where you deem necessary.
- Shut down your server using /stop then start it up again to apply the changes.
♦ How to use the plugin
- Once you have followed the installation process above, open the config.yml file in the /plugins/MobSpawnListener/ folder.
- Here are a list of entity types (for v1.15.x)
- Under the 'mobs' section in the config, you can add your own entity type limits.
- Format: ENTITY_TYPE: #
- ENTITY_TYPE = The type of entity that will spawn.
- Examples: CREEPER, SPIDER, SKELETON, WITHER_SKELETON, so on.
- # = The chance, out of 10, that the mob will successfuly spawn.
- Examples: 5 (50%), 2 (20%), so on.
- ENTITY_TYPE = The type of entity that will spawn.
- Format: ENTITY_TYPE: #
- Each time you edit the config, you must restart your server to apply the changes.
