DIYmazes
DIYmazes is a plugin that generates custom mazes with only one command! It uses a recursive backtracking algorithm to generate a unique maze every time. One of the cool things about this algorithm is that there are not set start and end points in the maze. You can pick any two dead ends and there will be exactly one path to get from one to the other.
There is only one command in this plugin:
- /genmaze <x-size> <y-size> <height> <path-width> <block> <generate-floors> <blocks-per-tick> (Permission: "mazes.gen")
This command generates a maze with the specified settings at your current location.
The x-size and y-size do not represent the block dimensions of the maze, but the cell dimensions. The block dimensions can be calculated with the formulas:
x block dimension = (x-size * (path-width + 1)) + 1
y block dimension = (y-size * (path-width + 1)) + 1
The block is based off of the Spigot Material list
generate-floors represents whether or not the maze will build with floors or not. It must either equal "true" or false".
blocks-per-tick represents how many blocks of the maze will be generated per tick. This was added to significantly reduce lag when generating large mazes. I recommend using 10-15 blocks per tick to minimize the effect on the server's TPS.
Here is a maze generated with the command:
/genmaze 50 50 1 1 CONCRETE true
