Fast Worldborder fill『1.14.4』EXPERIMENTALLY

2019.11.16

Pregenerate worlds fast and asynchronous. Up to 5 times faster than /wb fill

·Plugin

This plugin is very experimental, use with care and make a backup of your world before you generate a world with this plugin.
I do not take any responsibility for corrupted worlds. This plugin does not work with Paper spigot.

With Fast Worldborder fill you can pre generate your world Minecraft. It can pre generate worlds up to 5 times faster and with zero tps drops than normal /wb fill and it even have some space for improvements to speed it up more.

In it's current state this Plugin generates the chunks only one stage before the chunks counts as finish. As a result, Dynmap, for example, does not render the chunks. If you wish to view the map use other tools that provide a features to see also not fully generated chunks, such as this one .

For Example:
Fast Worldborder fill needed for a 300 x 300 chunk big area (4800x4800 blocks) 9 Minutes to generated (with 32 threads for generation and a batch size of 100). WorldBorder needed for the same area (same seed, size) 56 minutes (Command which get used: /wb fill 1000 0 false) and WorldBorder on Paper needed 46 minutes.

Will the world gets generated, it is not recommend to use / modify the world which gets generated. This can cause errors / crashes or chunk corruptions.

The plugin has two commands with the permission: fast.fill
/fast-fill status -> prints you the current status of the fill operation to the console.
/fast-fill <threads-amount> <batch-size> <x-radius> <z-radius> <sleep-time> <x-start-point> <z-start-point> <world>-> starts a fill process
threads-amount : How much Thread should be use for generation
batch-size : The amount of chunks which gets loaded to memory. And how much Chunks gets generated at the same time. Recommend: between 50 and 100
x-radius, z-radius : The amount of blocks which should generate on the x-axis / z-axis per Site. -> The Generated shape is a rectangle.
sleep-time : How much millisecond a thread should wait after he finish his job. You can set a value if you get high CPU usages and system instability. But normally 0 is fine.
x-start-point, z-start-point : The x and z center point from which the chunks should get generated. (The Block Position)
world : Which should get fill

Note : It can happen (at the current state of the plugin) that it wont generate the full size. When the amount of generated chunks on a axis dividend by the batch size not a even number is.
Example : When you want to generate a 4800 x 4800 blocks big region (300 x 300 chunks) with a batch size of 80. Than it will only generate a 3840 x 3840 block big region (240 x 240 chunks) with missing chunks on the positive x and z axis. Because 300 / 80 is 3.75 which is not a even number. to generate the full size you must use a batch size which gives you a even number when you divided it by the amount of chunks generated on a axe. In this case 50 or 100 for example.
