🚒 FireEquipment

Hi everyone! FireEquipment adds roleplay tools for firefighters to your server: a Fire Hose to spray water, an Extinguisher to put out flames and a Water Pump to clean up the water afterwards.

Works on Spigot, Paper and Purpur, Minecraft 1.21 and newer.

🚒 Items

All tools are used with a right-click while holding them.

🧯 Fire Hose
Shoots a jet of water up to 5 blocks in front of you. The water disappears on its own after a few seconds, so your map is never flooded. You are slowed down a lot while spraying.

💧 Water Pump
Sucks up the water sources in front of you (4 blocks).

🔥 Extinguisher
Puts out flames at short range (2 blocks). You are slowed down a little while using it.

Good to know:

• Ranges and cooldowns can be changed in the config.
• Tools respect region protection plugins (WorldGuard, GriefPrevention, Towny...). A player can't spray water or put out fire where they aren't allowed to build.
• Renaming a tool in an anvil doesn't break it.

⚙️ Configuration

plugins/FireEquipment/config.yml is created on the first start. When you update the plugin, missing options are added automatically and your changes are kept.

You can edit:

• every message, with & color codes (and MiniMessage tags on Paper),
• each tool's name, description, range (in blocks) and cooldown,
• how long the hose water stays (waterLifetime).

Cooldowns and water lifetime are in ticks (20 ticks = 1 second).

Run /firequip reload to apply your changes without restarting the server.

🎨 Textures (optional)

FireEquipment has its own resource pack with custom textures for the three tools (Minecraft 1.21.4+). Without it, the tools look like vanilla items (golden hoe, clay ball, iron hoe) and work exactly the same.

Download FireEquipment-pack-<version>.zip from the GitHub releases, then pick one:

• Let FireEquipment send it: upload the zip somewhere players can download it, then fill the ResourcePack section of the config:

• Using Nexo: drop the zip into plugins/Nexo/pack/external_packs/ and run /nexo reload pack. Keep ResourcePack.enabled: false in FireEquipment.
• Your own server pack: copy the assets/fireequipment/ folder from the zip into it.

Tools given before you installed the pack are updated automatically when their owner joins or uses them.

Always give the tools with /fequip. Items given by other plugins (like /nexo give) only look like the tools and won't work.
