Professional Backup Infrastructure for Minecraft Servers

✨ Lightweight • ⚡ Asynchronous • Production Ready

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

ggBackup is a modern backup infrastructure designed for reliable Minecraft server environments.

Instead of simple file-copy scripts, ggBackup runs backups in the background with a clean layered architecture. Your players keep playing while a backup runs. ✅

Version 2.0 brings a completely new, easy-to-read config and full support for the new Minecraft 26.x world folders.

Developed and maintained by Glesel-Group.

⏱️ Backup Performance ⏱️

Backup duration depends on world size, storage speed, and server hardware.

Example production backup:
6 GB backup size
⏱️ ≈ 2 minutes 30 seconds runtime

Backups run in the background — the server stays responsive during the entire process.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

System Requirements

☕ Java 21 or newer (Minecraft 26.x servers run on Java 25)
Paper / Spigot 26.x (built against the 26.3 API)
Minimum 2 GB RAM allocated

⚠ Servers with only 1 GB RAM may experience instability during backups.
For larger servers or multiple worlds:
4 GB+ RAM recommended

2️⃣ Restart the server
3️⃣ Configure config.yml (profiles = what, schedules = when)
4️⃣ ✅ Done

No additional dependencies required.

Updating from 1.2.x: just replace the jar. Your old config is converted automatically and saved as config-1.2-backup.yml. Backups made by 1.2.x cannot be restored on 26.x.
