GlowingAPI

1.0.0

An API for handling client side glowing effects.

·Plugin

GlowingAPI
Requires ProtocolLib https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/protocollib.1997/

GlowingAPI allows you to set an entity to be glowing for other player(s) client side. Client side meaning only certain players see the entity as glowing. Useful for Minigame in which you need to display teammates to only teammates or something.

GlowingAPI currently uses Jitpack https://jitpack.io/#Sitrica/GlowingAPI/1.0.0

Maven
In your pom.xml add:

<repositories>
  <repository>
      <id>jitpack.io</id>
      <url>https://jitpack.io</url>
  </repository>
</repositories>

<dependency>
    <groupId>com.github.Sitrica</groupId>
    <artifactId>GlowingAPI</artifactId>
    <version>1.0.0</version>
</dependency>

Gradle

In your build.gradle add:

repositories {
    maven {
        url 'https://jitpack.io'
    }
}

dependencies {
    compile 'com.github.Sitrica:GlowingAPI:1.0.0'
}

Example of usage:

public   class  ExamplePlugin  extends  JavaPlugin  {

     private   static  ExamplePlugin instance  ;
     private  GlowingAPI glowing  ;

   @Override
     public   void  onEnable  (   )   {
       instance  =   this   ;
       glowing  =   new  GlowingAPI  (  instance  )   ;
     }

     public   static  ExamplePlugin getInstance  (   )   {
         return  instance  ;
     }

     public  GlowingAPI getGlowingAPI  (   )   {
         return  glowing  ;
     }

 }
ExamplePlugin instance  =  ExamplePlugin.  getInstance   (   )   ;
GlowingAPI glowing  =  instance.  getGlowingAPI   (   )   ;

glowing.  setGlowing   (  entity, player  )   ;
glowing.  stopGlowing   (  entity, player  )   ;

glowing.  setTimedGlowing   (   5  , TimeUnit.  SECONDS  , entity, player  )   ;

TODO: Colour support, you can already do this if the two entities/players are on the same team, and that team is coloured, but that won't be a fake client side scoreboard, which is what is planned.
