Custom /help and automatically send tips to players.

About

HelpMe + Tips is a plugin (big surprise) that allows you to redirect the /help command to your own help messages. This is useful for any server to explain their rules and features as well as newbies to learn how to play and even for old fans, because they can learn new things about the game.

This plugin also bring tips, small pieces of text that remind players of useful features of both the server and Minecraft alike. For example you can guide new players with useful advice like "You can unenchant tools you didn't like with a Grindstone." or "Never go to the Nether without good armor and a bow.".

Commands

This plugin adds the /hmpt (with are the inicials of h elp m e p lus t ips, I swear in Spanish it looks like an insult) that simply accesses the help, the tips and the reload command. This plugin also adds a /help alias to this command to send players straight into the help documentation. Note: This plugin does not hide the /? and /minecraft:help command. If you want that you can ask me and I'll do it, I just didn't find a reason to hide them.

  • /hmpt help [n]
    • Permission: helpme.help.command
  • /hmpt help <bookmark> [n]
    • Permission: helpme.help.command
  • /hmpt tip [n]
    • Permission: helpme.help.command
    • Where n is the number of the tip.
  • /hmpt reload
    • Permission: helpme.help.command (for accessing /hmpt)
    • helpme.help.reload (for actually reloading the config.yml and the lang.yml)

Tips

Tips can be configured to be silent on certain worlds that require concentration, like minigames. You can also remove players a permission so they don't see tips. This permission is " help.tips.send ".

Bookmarks

You can set bookmarks, basically indices, to jump directly into a page. You can set these so players can jump right where they want to read. Like typing /help rules to read about the rules. You can also keep reading that section with /help rules 2 and so on.

I made this for my server really quick so I didn't have any real ideas. This is a re-make of an older version made by my. Even though it's really simple I thought I might as well share it anyway, so haha.
