Hyperion

Paper plugin that adds the Hyperion from Hypixel SkyBlock (the Necron's Blade variant) to your server.

It operates as a complete Wither Blade with the Wither Impact ability: right-clicking teleports you 10 blocks forward, causes an implosion dealing 50,000 to 145,000 damage to all enemies within a 6-block radius, and applies the Wither Shield effect granting damage reduction and an absorption shield for 5 seconds. If you have used one on Hypixel, you already know exactly how it plays.

Setup

For the supported Minecraft versions, check the Modrinth page or the latest release on GitHub both always show the current one.

Drop the jar in plugins/, restart. The config generates at plugins/Hyperion/config.yml and everything in it is commented.

After that, config changes don't need a restart: edit, save, /hyperionreload.

Getting one

No crafting recipe you weren't going to farm a Necron's Handle anyway. Right?

Note that givehyperion.give is enabled for everyone by default. If you don't want players handing themselves wither blades, set default: false on it in paper-plugin.yml or override it in your permission's plugin.

The Hyperion's name and lore are fully configurable (item.display-name, item.lore) and support MiniMessage formatting.
That's where the colors in the default item come from.
