Description

ItemsLite is a lightweight Paper plugin that lets you create custom items, placeable custom blocks, recipes, drops, item actions and visual custom armor without requiring client-side mods.

The plugin can generate and host its own resource pack, so players can receive custom textures directly when they join your server.

Visual custom armor requires Paper 1.21.4 or newer.
Other features work on Paper 1.20.x and newer.

ItemsLite does not use NMS for its core features, which helps compatibility across Minecraft updates.
Quick Start

1. Put ItemsLite.jar inside your server plugins folder.
2. Start the server once.
3. Edit the generated files in plugins/ItemsLite.
4. Add your textures inside the plugin texture folders.
5. Run the reload commands.

/itemslite reload
/itemslite reloadpack
/itemslite pack

Give yourself an example item:

/itemslite give <your_name> ruby_sword 1

If something does not work, run:

/itemslite doctor

Resource Pack

ItemsLite can generate and host the resource pack automatically.

For public servers, make sure your resource-pack URL is reachable by players and that the selected host port is open.

Players do not need to manually install the texture pack. Minecraft will ask them to download the server resource pack when they join.

Visual Custom Armor

ItemsLite supports real visual armor textures on Paper 1.21.4+.

Armor sets use a simple folder structure:

plugins/ItemsLite/textures/armor/ruby/
  helmet.png
  chestplate.png
  leggings.png
  boots.png
  layer_1.png
  layer_2.png

layer_1.png is used for helmet, chestplate and boots.
layer_2.png is used for leggings.

ItemsLite automatically converts this simple folder into the correct Minecraft resource-pack structure.
