5.0.0latest5.0.0 is here: v5 is now stableAug 31, 2026 KamiCommon 5.0.0 v5 is out of pre-release. This is the first official 5.x version, and the API it ships is the one to build against. Breaking changes are reserved for a future major version. One jar, Minecraft 1.8.8 through 26.2. Every module targets Java 8, so the same artifact loads on a 1.8.8 server and on a 26.2 one. No version-specific builds, no separate downloads. Server owners Drop the jar into plugins/. You only need it if a plugin asks for KamiCommon in its depend. Nothing to configure. Developers Code (Java): repositories { maven ( "https://repo.luxiouslabs.net/repository/maven-releases/" ) } dependencies { implementation ( "com.kamikazejam.kamicommon:spigot-jar:5.0.0" ) } Maven coordinates and the other five modules are on the Getting Started page. What v5 brings · One text API for every version. VersionedComponent handles MiniMessage, hover text, item hovers, clicks and decorations identically from 1.8.8 upward. You write it once and it renders the same everywhere. · Adventure without the conflicts. Servers older than 1.18.2 get a bundled copy, sealed so it cannot clash with anything else on the server and cannot be imported by accident. Newer servers use their own. · Java 8 floor. Every published module resolves and loads on Java 8, including on modern servers. · Menus, configs, commands and items all carry the same text type, so nothing needs converting between them. Upgrading from v4 v4 is end of life and will receive no further updates. The Migration Guide lists every rename, removal and replacement. If you were tracking the v5 pre-releases, use the alpha.20 to 5.0.0 guide instead. The KamiConfig now requires a Plugin object as it is meant for servers with plugins, the StandaloneConfig is meant for jars that aren't related to Minecraft servers. After thorough review, al classes should be safe to use, if they involve spigot their methods will require some spigot object. For instance StringUtil has been split as well, StringUtil does not use any bukkit or spigot classes, and can be used in a standalone jar. StringUtilP on the other hand can translate PAPI placeholders when you use any of the p() methods. They require a player object so you can't mistakenly use them.1.4.0.0Jan 12, 2023
