"Are you tired of having to pick between dropping all your equipment on death or dropping nothing on death? Don't you wish there was some inbetween that can be had so players wouldn't feel disheartened when they lose all their diamond armor to a lava flow, but also don't feel babied by making death meaningless? Then do I have the plugin for you!"
KSI (Keep Selective Inventory) is a plugin that only drops the inventory that's not on the user's toolbar, offhand, or equipped. So players can priorities what they definitely do not want to lose (like tools and armor), but still providing an incentive not to die and lose the rest of their goods.
Also, by default, all equipped armor gets damaged by 10% on death to motivate players to be careful on how many times they die.
The generated config.yml file includes settings for the following:
- enabledWorlds -- You can have this enabled on only specific worlds, and still have standard death item drop mechanics on others. world, world_nether, and world_the_end are enabled by default.
- armorDurabilityDamage -- The percentage armor equipped gets damaged by death. Can be set between 0 (disabled) and 100 (break all equipment)
This plugin is still in development and more features and customization will be added over time.
