Messages are split by death cause, allowing you to fully customise how each type of death appears in chat.

Server Death Stats GUI

LastWords includes a public server-wide death statistics GUI.

Players can open a clean menu showing every tracked death cause and how many times that cause has happened across the server.

Each death cause icon can show:

• Total deaths for that cause
• Server percentage
• Message pool count
• Most recent victim
• Last generated LastWords message
• Last recorded death time

The GUI also includes a server overview item showing total server deaths, tracked causes, and the most common death cause.

This gives players a fun way to see whether your server mostly dies to lava, fall damage, mobs, PvP, cactus hugs, or pure bad decisions.

Player Death Message Toggle

Not every player wants to see public death messages in chat all the time.

LastWords now allows players to hide or show public death messages for themselves without affecting the rest of the server.

When a player disables death messages, they will no longer see public LastWords messages in their own chat.

Death messages will still be generated, server stats will still track correctly, and other players who have death messages enabled will still see them.

This is perfect for players who prefer a cleaner chat while still allowing the server to keep its funny death message system active.

Configuration

LastWords creates clean and simple configuration files:

config.yml
messages.yml
stats.yml
players.yml

config.yml controls general plugin settings, death recaps, sounds, titles, anti-spam, bypass behaviour, and player toggle options.

messages.yml contains all editable death messages, split by cause.

stats.yml stores server-wide death statistics used by the Death Stats GUI.

players.yml stores per-player settings such as whether public death messages are visible in their chat.

Discord Webhook Support

LastWords can send death messages directly to Discord using configurable webhooks.

Death messages are posted as clean Discord embeds, complete with the player’s Minecraft head, death cause, world, coordinates, killer, weapon, and a colour that changes depending on how the player died.

Server owners can fully customise the webhook URL, embed title, description, footer, player head display, shown fields, and per-cause colours from the config.

Perfect for community servers that want deaths logged in Discord in a clean and polished way.
