Linguify | Hover to Translate Chat [1.8-1.21] | Free, No API

Linguify 2.0.0 TranslateX has been rebuilt from the ground up and is now called Linguify.​ Read the whole update before you install This is a full rewrite, not a patch. The plugin name, commands, permissions and config file have all changed. Your old TranslateX config will not carry over. Hover to translate The big change: chat is no longer rewritten. Every message stays exactly as it was typed, and players hover over it to read it in their own language. Nothing about your server's look changes, and your chat plugin keeps full control of the formatting. Each player chooses what the hover shows them: · full - the complete translation · words - each word with its translation next to it · off - no hover at all Prefer the old style? Set chat-display: "replace" and the chat line is translated instead, with the original behind the hover. No API key needed any more TranslateX required an OpenAI key. Linguify works the moment you drop it in, using free translation services with automatic failover. You can still add your own DeepL (free plan: 500k characters/month), LibreTranslate or OpenAI keys - multiple keys per provider, rotated automatically when one hits its limit. Translated once, free forever Every translation is cached in memory and saved to disk per language. A text is only ever sent to a translation service once. When one player unlocks a language, everyone who picks it later gets it instantly, even after a restart. What gets a translation hover Three features, each a separate switch, and each one players can turn off for themselves: · Player chat - what other players type · Join and quit messages - "X joined the game" · Server and plugin messages - broadcasts and chat from any other plugin Also new · /lang settings - personal settings menu for every player · /linguify stats - see which languages your players actually use · Three ways to pick a language - GUI menu, clickable chat list or /lang nl · MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL support, with YAML as the default · Configurable permissions - map any permission node to any set of commands · Automatic ProtocolLib download - the build matching your server version · Optional AI clean-up - with an OpenAI key, typos and chat slang are fixed before translating · 30 languages, 1.8 through 1.21 support No licensing, completely free No license, no key, no account, nothing to register. The only thing reported is anonymous bStats data, public for everyone to see: bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/Linguify/33586 - no player names, no UUIDs, no chat content. Chat text only ever goes to the translation service you configured yourself. How to update · Stop your server · Delete the old TranslateX.jar and its plugins/TranslateX folder · Drop Linguify.jar in your plugins folder · Start your server - a fresh config is generated and you are done Commands are now /linguify (aliases: /lang, /language, /lingo, /translate) and permissions are linguify.use and linguify.admin.
