Highlights: · Improved Game Engine – Movement, merging, tile spawning, undo, and game-over detection are now handled by a cleaner and thoroughly tested board engine. · Safer Game Saving – Player progress is saved asynchronously and written atomically, reducing main-thread work and protecting save files from partial writes. · Reliable Reloads – Invalid configuration changes no longer replace the active configuration, while games already in progress keep their original controls. · Better Leaderboards – Scores now load asynchronously, malformed player files are isolated, and players without a score are shown as unranked. · Performance Improvements – GUI rendering, tile lookups, text serialization, and game-over animations now avoid unnecessary repeated work. · Modern Server Support – Updated for Spigot and Paper 26.3, with current APIs, dependencies, packaging, and license notices. MC2048 v2.0.0 drops support for older server versions. Please back up your plugins/MC2048 folder before upgrading and use the Java runtime recommended by your Spigot or Paper server build.
