MobControl

1

Allows you to have granular control of what spawns and when

·Plugin

This is a quick-n-dirty plugin I threw together for someone on the forum. As such, I didn't spend the time to do granular permissions or configurable messages. The only permissions is mobcontrol.admin. I also didn't take the time to make user friendly flags - this uses the EntityType values and SpawnReason values.

It'll probably work on older versions than 1.12, I just don't have time to screw around with testing that.

Basically, you can tell it what EntityType it should not allow to spawn for whatever SpawnReason you wish. You can use "all" for entitytype to block everything. So lets say I didn't want people to spawn snowmen:

/mctrl add build_snowman snowman

If I had more time, I'd make it smart enough to obviously block snowmen if you left off the entity in this case, but I'm supposed to be working on a project for work today not screwing around with Spigot lol.

If I wanted to re allow it, I'd do:

/mctrl del build_snowman snowman

You can do /mctrl list entity to get a list of the valid EntityType enum values or /mctrl list spawn to get a list of the valid SpawnReason enum values. It's not case sensitive; the plugin will automatically set to upper for you. Underscores are required if the enum value has one though.

/mctrl status will dump a list of what all is being blocked. /mctrl toggle will toggle the plugin functionality (globally) on or off. /mctrl verbose will make it log in the console when it blocks something (don't leave this save for short periods whilst testing, else your log files could blow up lol).

That's basically it. When I get done my real world projects I'll come back to this and mac it out with granular permission, configurable messages, biome control, rate limiting as well as outright blocking, etc.
