MooBlocks - Add up to 192 Custom Blocks to your server

1.0

Use block states to add up to 192 custom blocks to your server without any performance impact

·Plugin

How does this work?
The Mushroom blocks have unused block states for their facing values. This effectively means that by just replacing the textures of 3 blocks you get up to 192 different block models and textures.

MooBlocks replaces blocks with a set name with a pre-defined Mushroom Blockstate

When should I use this over other methods of adding new blocks?
This method does not create any lag . Using armor stands for new blocks might cause lag, as armor stands are entities that need to be calculated by the server. MooBlocks are just regular blocks.
Also, MooBlocks have collision . Armor stands do not.
You should not use MooBlocks if you need to use the regular mushroom blocks often. Not all of the facing values are unused and there may be some issues when you try to use them for normal mushrooms.

How do I use MooBlocks?
MooBlocks on its own does not provide any textures or custom blocks. You need a ressource pack for this. You can find an example ressource pack here: Click me (The Ressource pack is made by LapisDemon )
Take a look at the .json files inside the \assets\minecraft\blockstates folder of the ressource pack. You can define the individual texture files for your block states there.
You can find more information about this technique here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/texture-packs/bonus-mushroomblocks-add-160-custom-blocks

As soon as you added your texture files (or installed the example ressource pack), you can edit the config.yml of MooBlocks:

blocks:
stone_block: // UNIQUE name of your block
name: Test // Name for the ingame block
    type: BROWN_MUSHROOM_BLOCK // block Type.
facing: // Facing values. You can get them from the .json files mentioned above
      up: false
      down: false
      north: false
      east: false
      south: false
      west: true

The "name:" values defines the ingame name of the block. As soon as any block with this name gets placed, it gets replaced by the correct MooBlock. This only works for blocks, not for items.
