Msg Skript

0.1

Messages for all!

·Plugin

Hey there Spigot ! So, I've made a new skript. It is a messaging skript. This skript removes the need for other messaging things, such as essentials. Obviously, you will most likely need another plugin to take essentials' place as it interferes with the code. If you do not want to, that is fine. Below I will explain more in depth of what this is.

About This Skript

This skript took me about 5 minutes to code, and I thought. Why not share it on spigot? Below is the source code and an explanation of each line.

command /msg <player> <text>:
This states the start of the skript.

aliases: /m, /pm, /pm, /dm, /tell
The aliases are what you can type to mesage someone without using /msg.

trigger:
Without this, the skript would not work.

if argument 1 is set:
This checks to see if argument 1 is set, aka the player.

if argument 2 is set:
This checks to see if argument 2 us set, aka the text of the message.

set {chat.private.reply.%player%} to arg 1
This allows the receiving player to see the message.

set {chat.private.reply.%arg 1%} to player
This allows the sender to see the message.

send "&7(To &f%arg-1%&7) %arg-2%" to player
send "&7(From &f%player%&7) %arg-2%" to arg 1
This sends the player's the message.

else:
send "&cUsage: /message <player> <message>"

This is sent if the arg's are not set.

command /reply <text>:
The starting line of the reply command.

aliases: /r
Another method to reply.

trigger:
Without this, the skript would not work.

if argument 1 is set
Checks if arg 1 is set, aka the text.

send "&7(To &f%{chat.private.reply.%player%}%&7) %arg-1%" to player
send "&7(From &f%player%&7) %arg-1%" to {chat.private.reply.%player%}
What sends the messages.

else:
send "&cUsage: /reply <message...>"
If argument 1 is not set.
