Nexus Region Manager

A property marketplace built around WorldGuard.

Turn existing regions into plots, houses, shops, apartments, and hotel rooms that players can buy, rent, manage, and auction through in-game menus.

Your regions. Your marketplace.

Nexus Region Manager (NRM) brings property listings, reusable templates, pricing, protection settings, and player management together.

Administrators select existing WorldGuard regions, configure their rules and prices, then publish them. Players use /market to browse listings, inspect properties, visit plots, and purchase or rent eligible spaces.

Whether you run a residential district, shopping area, rental town, or hotel, NRM gives you a consistent way to manage it.

Features

Buy, rent, or offer both

Choose how players acquire each property:

ModePlayer options
BUYPurchase the property.
RENTRent it for a configured price and period.
BOTHChoose purchase or rental while it is available.

Each plot can have its own transaction mode, prices, and rental period.

Guided setup

Run /nrm setup to work through five stages:

  1. Detect Regions — find and select existing WorldGuard regions.
  2. Region Sub-Templates — save or choose a collection of plots.
  3. Settings Sub-Templates — assign protection rules, priority, entity profiles, and hotel behavior.
  4. Price Sub-Templates — configure shared pricing and individual plot overrides.
  5. Review & Generate — check your selections and publish.

Save publishing arrangements to reuse across your property collections.

Flexible pricing

Set shared defaults, then override individual plots where needed.

Seven plots could share one rental price while three larger plots use higher prices. You can also mix purchase-only, rental-only, and combined offers in the same plan.

You do not need a separate price template for every plot.

WorldGuard protection groups

Organize protection rules into reusable settings groups:

  • Baseline flags define the rules applied to a region.
  • Unlocked flags determine which settings eligible owners may change.

Settings presets combine a flag group with region priority, an entity profile, and hotel behavior.

Members and managers

Manage plot access through in-game menus.

Owners can add members and assign manager roles. Available actions depend on the player’s role and server permissions, and players can change only the protection settings administrators have unlocked.

Rentals and renewals

Configure rental periods, renewal windows, reminders, and grace periods.

Eligible players renew through /market renew. Renewal charges the current rental price and adds another period to the existing expiration date. Expired properties follow the server’s configured policies.

Whole-plot rentals and subleases

Eligible outright owners can rent out their entire property while retaining ownership.

Owners can also create subleases for rooms, stalls, or other defined spaces inside a plot. Lease-management menus handle invitations, prices, periods, and contracts.

Sublease tenants use /rental manage to review and manage their rented sub-region.

Property auctions

Eligible owners can offer properties through sale auctions. Players browse auctions and place bids through /market.

NRM also supports configurable inactivity and takeover auction workflows. Existing rentals, subleases, and eligibility rules determine which actions are available.

Hotel behavior

Enable hotel mode for rooms and controlled building spaces. Players normally may break only blocks they placed.

Management tools provide hotel information and placed-block tracking features.

Entity limits

Assign entity profiles to properties and let players inspect configured limits and loaded living-entity counts.

Entity restrictions and property acquisition limits remain under server control.

Property discovery

Help players explore listings with:

  • Property information and boundary previews.
  • Teleporting with configurable costs and cooldowns.
  • Path guidance where navigation routes are available.

Plot restoration

Restore eligible regions from saved baseline schematics.

A valid baseline and the appropriate permissions are required. Restoration can replace player changes within the restored area.

Requirements

Use the NRM build that matches your server platform, and check the release’s supported Minecraft versions before installing.

ComponentRequirement
PaperRequired for the full marketplace, including financial features.
FoliaSupported through a separate build with financial features disabled.
WorldGuardRequired for regions and protection.
WorldEditRequired for selections and editing infrastructure.
zMenuRequired for the in-game menu system.
MySQLRequired for the full setup and management workflow.
Economy providerRequired for financial features on Paper.

Economy integrations

On Paper, use one of the following:

  • ExcellentEconomy, with its NightCore dependency.
  • Vault, with an economy plugin that registers a compatible service.
  • VaultUnlocked, with a compatible economy provider.

A bridge alone does not provide an economy. Direct CoinsEngine integration is no longer supported.

Database setup

MySQL is disabled in the fresh configuration. NRM can start in limited JSON fallback mode, but the full marketplace and setup workflow require a working MySQL connection.

Configure the database, enable MySQL, and restart before continuing.

Folia limitations

The current Folia build supports the documented nonfinancial workflow, including setup, publishing, browsing, and supported administration features.

Purchases, rental payments, renewals, auctions, and financial sublease operations are disabled on this build.

Getting started

  1. Install NRM and its required dependencies.
  2. Start the server to generate configuration files.
  3. Configure MySQL and your Paper economy integration.
  4. Restart and verify initialization.
  5. Create your WorldGuard regions.
  6. Run /nrm setup in the world containing those regions.
  7. Review and publish your properties.
  8. Open /market to verify the result.

Create your regions first. NRM detects existing WorldGuard regions; the setup wizard does not create their boundaries.

Follow the Getting Started guide for screenshots, configuration examples, menu controls, and troubleshooting.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use NRM for houses instead of shops?

Yes. NRM manages WorldGuard regions, so properties can represent houses, plots, shops, rooms, or other spaces.

Can every plot have a different price?

Yes. Shared defaults simplify setup, while per-region overrides allow different prices, transaction modes, and rental periods.

Can players change protection flags?

Only where the server permits it. Administrators choose editable flags, and tenant access can be restricted further by owner permissions.

Does the setup wizard create regions?

No. Define your WorldGuard regions first, then use the wizard to detect and select them.

Can installation be completed entirely through menus?

Initial database, economy, and detection configuration may require editing the generated configuration. The setup menus then handle region selection, settings presets, pricing, and publishing.

Is NRM a drop-in replacement for AdvancedRegionMarket?

NRM is an alternative for region-based property markets with its own setup and template workflow. Test the features you rely on before migrating, and do not assume identical commands, presets, or migration behavior.
