NOTE TO UPDATERS: · Any data set in the playerdata.yml is now void, and will no longer be used. This file is safe to delete and it is recommended that you do so · DELETE YOUR CONFIG, MESSAGES, AND PLAYERDATA FILE (They NEED to be regenerated! If you don't do this you will get null messages and other errors! · This new version will create an SQlite database called PersonalInfo on the first startup. If you do not want to use SQlite and want to hook into your MySQL server here is how to do it · Install the plugin and run your server · Open the config file · Set Use-MySQL to true · Enter your MySQL database information in the proper fields (The default port is filled out for you, please make sure your MySQL server is using the default port and the information is all correct before coming to me for any connection errors) · Save the config file · Either restart your server or run /pi reload config (reloading the config will re-initiate a database connection, therefore making it easy to switch the database types you use. · The plugin will not convert data from SQlite to MySQL. It is recommended you decide what server to use and stick with it · This slick new update also rolls out a new field called Nicknames, along with bug fixes, a FULL re-code, and hours of write, run, debug, repeat. Now the fields are semi-controlled as to what characters are allowed in them, and how long the field may be. This does not mean the plugin will moderate itself, and yes fields can still be abused, however these new limitations will make it slightly harder to do so · The ability to set a configurable bio length and name length have been removed, as have the option for players to set last names, and all other items pertaining to last names What is SQlite: "SQLite is an embedded SQL database engine. Unlike most other SQL databases, SQLite does not have a separate server process. SQLite reads and writes directly to ordinary disk files." It may be anything from a simple shopping list to a picture gallery or the vast amounts of information in a corporate network. To add, access, and process data stored in a computer database, you need a database management system such as MySQL Server. Since computers are very good at handling large amounts of data, database management systems play a central role in computing, as standalone utilities, or as parts of other applications." ( SOURCE/READ MORE) What Is The Difference (In English Please): The difference is that one saves locally to your servers file system (SQlite) and one saves remotely to a SQL server (MySQL) NOTE: This build as well as last build, and all future builds contain BStats, if you wish to opt out, please find the BStats folder in your plugins directory and set enabled to false.
