In previous versions, all inventory interaction was blocked while wearing rainbow armor. You couldn't move anything armor-related at all — not even to store a spare chestplate in a chest or shuffle items around your inventory. This was a heavy-handed workaround to prevent two nasty bugs: · Duplication: Shift-clicking the equipped rainbow armor would copy it into your inventory while the animator immediately replaced it in the slot. · Destruction: Dropping a vanilla armor piece onto a rainbow slot would overwrite and delete the rainbow piece. Rather than solving the actual problem, the old code just locked everything down. What changed in 3.3.0? The interaction guard has been completely rewritten with surgical precision. Instead of blocking everything, it now blocks only the exact actions that cause duplication or destruction, while allowing everything else freely. Now allowed while wearing rainbow armor · Moving any item (including armor pieces) freely between inventory slots · Moving any item into and out of chests, barrels, shulkers, etc. · Picking up and placing armor pieces anywhere that isn't an armor slot · Dragging armor pieces onto inventory or container slots · Updated to API v1.21.11 Still blocked (Minecraft limitation) · Clicking directly on an armor slot — picks up the rainbow piece, animator recreates it → duplication · Dragging anything onto an armor slot — overwrites the rainbow piece → destruction · Shift-clicking any armor piece — Minecraft auto-routes it to the nearest armor slot with no way to intercept · Right-click equipping armor from hand — same auto-equip limitation · Hotbar number-key swapping involving armor pieces When a blocked action is attempted, a configurable message now appears in chat explaining why. No more silent failures. A new message key has been added to config.yml Code (YAML): # Sent when a player tries to equip armor while wearing rainbow armor armor-shift-click-blocked-message : '& (255,150,0 )You can''t equip armor while wearing rainbow armor!' This update adds a requested feature: rainbow horse armor! New Feature: Rainbow horse armor now supported! Use /rainbowhorseitem to obtain animated leather horse armor. Equip it on a horse — the armor will smoothly animate through rainbow colors! Rainbow Armor has been updated to version 2.5 with full support for Spigot 1.21! You can now set a default cycle speed in a config.yml. You can refresh the config by executing /rainbowreload (permission: rainbow.reload). You can now set a cycle speed when enabling the armor with /rainbow <speed> Go full disco mode if you like ​
