RandomSpawnPlus

Random spawn plugin for Paper/Spigot/Leaf (1.16+).

Spawning

• On first join to the server, the player is teleported to a random surface location within the world border.
• On death without a bed/respawn anchor, the player respawns at a random location in the same zone.
• If the player placed a bed, they respawn at the bed (vanilla); if the bed is broken, random spawn in the zone is used again.
• Rejoining does not affect the player - they stay where they logged out.

Spawn zone

• The main limit is the world border, with a border-margin offset from the edge.
• An additional limit is the /gamerule respawn_radius <radius> command: the zone becomes the intersection of the border and a circle of the given radius around the world spawn. 0 or negative disables it - only the border is used. Alias: randomSpawnRadius. Query the value: /gamerule respawn_radius.
• Values are stored in plugins/RandomSpawnPlus/spawnzones.yml (per world) and survive a server restart.

Safe spot

• The spot is chosen on the surface (getHighestBlockYAt); water, lava, cacti, magma, fire and sweet berry bushes are excluded.
• If a random spot is unsafe, a spiral search for a safe block is performed within safe-search-radius.
• Up to search-attempts attempts are made to find a suitable location.

Config

config.yml: border-margin, search-attempts, safe-search-radius, worlds (empty = all worlds).
