RPGLoot

v0.9.0

RPG rarity system for weapons, armor and tools. Random stats, mob-tier drops, boss loot and structure chests.

·Plugin
  1. v0.9.0latestJul 13, 2026
    Added
    - Armor now has its own multiplier range (rarity-multipliers.<tier>.armor), separate from weapon damage — a 10-20% bonus meant for weapons was nearly invisible on low-base-armor pieces like helmets/boots. Armor ranges from +15% (Common) to +60-85% (Legendary), tuned so the improvement is clearly felt on every piece, not just chestplates. - Structure loot max-rarity is now configurable (structure-loot.max-rarity in config.yml) instead of hardcoded in Java — tune per-structure rarity caps, or recognize additional loot tables, without recompiling. See [CHANGELOG.md](https://github.com/okereke-dev/rpgloot/blob/master/CHANGE… for full details, including v0.8.2-0.8.3 (the vanilla-parity and armor-set attribute fixes).

  2. v0.8.3Jul 13, 2026
    Fixed
    - Weapons and armor were weaker than plain vanilla gear. A custom AttributeModifier on an item replaces (not stacks with) the item's intrinsic vanilla attribute, but the code was only ever applying the bonus increment over vanilla instead of the full vanilla+bonus value — e.g. an Uncommon Iron Chestplate was granting ~0.3 armor instead of ~6.3. - Only one piece of a full armor set was actually granting armor. Every armor piece used the same fixed UUID for its armor modifier; Minecraft only keeps one active modifier per UUID, so all four equipped pieces collided and only one contributed, instead of summing. A full Legendary set could show barely more armor than a single piece. Same collision affected HEALTH_BOOST/SPEED_BOOST/LUCK_BOOST bonus stats when two pieces rolled the same one. Both fixes only apply to newly generated items — gear already in player inventories keeps its old (too-weak) values until re-obtained. See [CHANGELOG.md](https://github.com/okereke-dev/rpgloot/blob/master/CHANGE… for full details, including v0.8.0-0.8.1 (higher drop rates, mob equipment, config auto-merge).

  3. v0.8.1Jul 13, 2026
    Added
    - config.yml now auto-merges new keys on startup//rpgloot reload instead of only writing a default file when it's entirely missing — any key added by a newer plugin version is filled in automatically without touching anything you've already customized. See [CHANGELOG.md](https://github.com/okereke-dev/rpgloot/blob/master/CHANGE… for full details.

  4. v0.7.1Jul 13, 2026
    Changed
    - Java package renamed com.ricardo.* → com.okereke.*. No functional change — the cross-plugin PersistentDataContainer keys (rpgmood:*, rpgloot:*) are plugin-name-based, not package-based, so RPGMood's soft-integration is unaffected. See [CHANGELOG.md](https://github.com/okereke-dev/rpgloot/blob/master/CHANGE… for full details.

  5. v0.7.0RPGLoot v0.7.0Jul 12, 2026
    Added
    - RPGMood achievements integration — exposes two new soft-integration hooks for other plugins (namely RPGMood) to read via PersistentDataContainer, no dependency either way: - rpgloot:active_set_rarity — written on the player while a full 5-piece set bonus is active (value is the set's rarity), cleared when it stops being full (SetTracker.recalculate()) - Distinct Artifacts found are now tracked per-player (PlayerStats.artifactsFound, persisted to playerstats.yml as artifacts-found), recorded in LootListener alongside the existing Legendary-found tracking

  6. v0.6.0RPGLoot v0.6.0Jul 5, 2026
    Added
    - RPGMood integration — if RPGMood is installed, mobs it scales carry a rpgmood:level PersistentDataContainer tag. RPGLoot now reads that level and raises the minimum rarity floor for the drop based on configurable thresholds (rpgmood-integration in config.yml). No dependency between the two plugins, no effect if RPGMood isn't installed.
    Fixed
    - The Modrinth/Hangar publish workflow no longer breaks if release notes contain a semicolon.

  7. v0.5.3Jul 4, 2026

    What's new

    Player-appeal features
    - Server-wide announcements: broadcast + sound + firework burst when a player finds a Hero+ item from a mob or boss kill (configurable via broadcast in config.yml) - Interactive sets GUI: /rpgloot sets now opens a visual inventory menu showing all 8 sets with their full piece-scaling table — click any icon to cycle the rarity view - Artifacts: 4 hand-authored, one-of-a-kind boss drops with fixed name/lore/stats (The Warden's Maul, Witherbane, Tidelord's Trident, Dragonfang Bow) - Leaderboard: /rpgloot leaderboard [legendaries|sets] tracks and ranks players server-wide
    Compatibility (since v0.4.2)
    - Fixed a bug where Fortune Boost/Auto-Smelt silently suppressed mcMMO's own gathering bonus drops - PlaceholderAPI integration: %rpgloot_active_set%, %rpgloot_stat_legendaries_found%, and more - WorldGuard integration: custom rpgloot-drops region flag No breaking changes. Existing items in player inventories are unaffected.

  8. v0.4.2Jul 4, 2026

    What's new

    PlaceholderAPI integration
    - New %rpgloot_active_set%, %rpgloot_active_set_pieces%, %rpgloot_active_set_bonus% placeholders - Registered automatically only if PlaceholderAPI is installed — zero impact otherwise
    WorldGuard integration
    - New custom region flag rpgloot-drops (default ALLOW) - Set to deny in any region (e.g. spawn) to exclude it from RPGLoot mob drops, boss drops, and structure-loot injection - /rg flag <region> rpgloot-drops deny
    mcMMO compatibility fix
    - Fixed a bug where RPGLoot's Fortune Boost and Auto-Smelt tool stats silently suppressed mcMMO's own gathering bonus drops (Mining Double Drops/Mother Lode, Woodcutting Harvest Lumber/Clean Cuts, Herbalism Double Drops/Verdant Bounty) on every block broken with an affected tool - Fortune Boost and Auto-Smelt now compose with mcMMO (and any other Telekinesis-style enchant plugin) instead of overriding it - See the [Compatibility wiki page](https://github.com/okereke-dev/rpgloot/wiki/Compatibility) for details on remaining independent-RNG overlaps between RPGLoot and mcMMO combat skills No breaking changes. Existing items in player inventories are unaffected.

  9. v0.3.3Jul 3, 2026

    What's new

    Vanilla-balance review
A full pass to keep RPGLoot as a lightweight, vanilla-friendly complement instead of a heavy RPG overhaul, informed by comparison with other RPG-loot plugins. Closed stacking gaps: - Crit Chance (item + set bonus combined) now capped at 35% - Bleeding proc chance cap lowered from 75% to 60% combined - Fortune/XP/Auto-Smelt ceiling lowered from 70% to 50% (Legendary) - Replant Chance ceiling lowered from 90% to 60% (Legendary) New: admin-tunable power level - Rarity damage/speed multipliers and all bonus-stat ranges are now configurable directly in config.yml under rarity-multipliers and bonus-stat-ranges - Ships with the exact same values as before — zero behavior change out of the box - Reload-safe via /rpgloot reload New: cosmetic-only mode - New stats-enabled: true/false toggle in config.yml - When set to false, items keep their generated name, rarity color, and lore tag — but grant no attribute bonuses, no bonus stats, and no set bonuses - Lets servers that just want RPGLoot's flavor (names, rarity colors, boss/structure loot variety) run it with zero impact on PvP/PvE balance No breaking changes. Existing items in player inventories are unaffected.

  11. v0.3.0v0.3.0 — Set Bonus SystemJul 2, 2026

    What's new in 0.3.0

    Set Bonus System
    - 8 named sets: Shadowveil, Ironbound, Dawnbreaker, Tidecaller, Emberclaw, Stormwarden, Voidwalker, Gilded - Every weapon and armor piece is randomly assigned to a set on generation - Equip 2–5 items sharing the same set name, rarity, and material tier to activate a scaling bonus - Piece scaling: 30% / 55% / 75% / 100% of the base value - Active set lore highlighting: the active piece-count line is highlighted in the item's rarity color and updated dynamically on equipment change
    Set Bonuses Fixed
    - Voidwalker (XP Boost) — bonus now correctly adds to XP gained from block breaks - Gilded (Luck Boost) — now applies as a passive AttributeModifier on the player - Stormwarden (Speed Boost) — activates and deactivates instantly on equipment change
    Set Grouping Fix (critical)
    - Items of the same material tier (e.g. Diamond Sword + Diamond Helmet) now correctly count toward the same set group - Previously, different item types with the same material were treated as separate tiers
    Balance Changes
    - Speed Boost (armor stat) range reduced: Uncommon 1–2%, Rare 2–4%, Hero 4–6%, Legendary 6–8% - Bleeding total proc chance (item + set bonus) capped at 75% - Fortune Boost and Auto-Smelt are now mutually exclusive per block break
    Bug Fixes
    - Dodge Chance and Damage Reduction now accumulate across all armor pieces and roll once per hit — previously each piece rolled independently - Thorns Chance is now averaged across all equipped RPGLoot armor pieces and rolled once per hit
    Performance
    - LRU stat cache (512 entries) on ItemRarityService to avoid re-parsing bonus stats on every damage event - SetListener debounced with a 1-tick delay to avoid redundant recalculations - Single PDC read per armor piece per damage event
    New Commands
    - /rpgloot getset <set> <rarity> <tier> [pieces] — generate a full matching set of items for testing - /rpgloot sets [set] — list all sets or show the full value table for one - /rpgloot get now accepts an optional [set] argument to force a specific set - /rpgloot clear — remove all RPGLoot items from your inventory - All new commands support tab-complete
    Config & Reload
    - /rpgloot reload now propagates the config to all listeners live --- Paper 1.21.4 / game version 26.1.2
