Silly's Immersive Chats

Added

- Custom chat formats. New formats section in config.yml (chat, yell, whisper, broadcast) using MiniMessage. Placeholders: <player>, <prefix>, <suffix>, <tag>, <message>. - Nickname support. <player> now uses the player's display name, so nicknames from EssentialsX and similar plugins show in chat. - PlaceholderAPI support (optional). Any %placeholder% can be used in the format strings, for example %essentials_nickname%. - LuckPerms support (optional). <prefix> and <suffix> show LuckPerms meta, including & and hex colors. - `/ic say <message>` broadcasts a message to every player, ignoring distance. Uses the formats.broadcast format and supports MiniMessage tags. - Permissions: - immersivechats.yell lets a player yell (default: true) - immersivechats.whisper lets a player whisper (default: true) - immersivechats.say allows /ic say (default: op) - immersivechats.admin allows /ic reload (default: op)

Changed

- /icreload is now `/ic reload`. /ic has tab completion. - Players without immersivechats.yell who type in all caps now send a normal message instead of a yell. - Players without immersivechats.whisper who whisper by sneaking are blocked and told to stop sneaking, so their message is never heard further than intended. - Chat messages are now rendered with MiniMessage. Player messages are treated as plain text, so players cannot inject formatting tags.

Fixed

- /msg and /tell were blocked even when disable-private-messaging was set to false. - Missing formats entries in an older config.yml could cause errors. Defaults are now used.

Notes

- Requires Paper 1.21+. - PlaceholderAPI and LuckPerms are optional soft dependencies. - Upgrading: existing config.yml files are not overwritten. Add the new formats section manually (or delete the old config to regenerate it), and replace any use of /icreload with /ic reload.
