ABOUT SIMPLEHELP

SimpleHelp is a lightweight help menu plugin designed to replace Bukkit's default help command with something cleaner, easier to read, and fully customizable.

Instead of showing players the standard Bukkit command list, SimpleHelp lets you create your own help pages with custom headers, footers, colors, multiple pages and clickable navigation.

MULTIPLE HELP PAGES

Create as many help pages as your server needs.

Each page can contain its own text, formatting and placeholders.

Pages are loaded from message.yml when the plugin starts or reloads and are then kept ready in memory for fast access.

CLICKABLE PAGE NAVIGATION

SimpleHelp uses clickable chat components so players can move between pages without manually typing page numbers.

The Previous and Next buttons are completely configurable.

Only the navigation buttons are clickable, while the rest of your help menu remains normal chat text.

Instead of seeing Bukkit's default command list, players are shown your own SimpleHelp pages.

INSTALLATION

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

1. Download SimpleHelp

Download the latest SimpleHelp.jar.

2. Install the plugin

Place the JAR inside your server's /plugins folder.

3. Start your server

Start or restart the server and SimpleHelp will generate its configuration files.

4. Customize your menu

Edit config.yml and message.yml to create your help menu.

5. Reload SimpleHelp

Use /simplehelp reload after changing your configuration.

6. You're ready!

Run /help to open your new help menu.

That's it!

COMPATIBILITY

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

SimpleHelp is designed with cross-version compatibility in mind.

The plugin uses the Bukkit/Spigot API for its core functionality and avoids relying on version-specific NMS code.

Currently tested: Minecraft 1.21.5

More versions will be added to the tested list as they are verified.

SimpleHelp is designed to use the same plugin JAR across supported versions.
