Getting started

Create a note:

/snote create "Mining" "Bring torches and an iron pickaxe"

Browse your notes and click a name to read it:

/snote list

Keep a reminder visible:

/snote pin bossbar "Mining"

Or display it while holding Tab:

/snote pin tab "Mining"

Click a note’s name to open it. Below its content, you will find:

  • [PIN] to pin it to the boss bar.
  • [REMOVE] to delete it.

"/snote read" Command

You can pin one note per display. The same note can appear in both locations. Pinning another note replaces the previous pin only in the selected location

Name and pinned-text colors support Minecraft’s standard color names:

black, dark_blue, dark_green, dark_aqua,
dark_red, dark_purple, gold, gray,
dark_gray, blue, green, aqua,

They also support hex colors:

The name color applies in chat and both pinned displays. The text color applies to pinned content; the chat body stays white

Boss-bar colors:

Appearance settings are saved individually for each note

Configuration

SimpleNote generates plugins/SimpleNote/config.yml:

bossbar-text-width: 250
tab-text-width: 140

These values control approximate text widths in GUI pixels using the standard Minecraft font

  • Boss-bar text shortens with ... when it exceeds the limit
  • Tab content wraps onto additional lines
  • Full note content remains available through /snote read

Accepted values range from 60 to 400

Saved notes

Notes are stored in each player’s persistent data. No external database is required
