Illegal commerce, inspections and state paranoia for SocialCredit servers
Turn your SocialCredit server into a living underground economy where players secretly trade goods, avoid inspections, inform on each other and try to stay one step ahead of the State.

BlackMarket adds illegal trade, contraband systems and surveillance mechanics on top of the SocialCredit framework, creating a chaotic political economy where trust, paranoia and player behaviour shape the server.

Players can run hidden black market shops, trade contraband items and build underground networks — but the State is always watching.

Meanwhile the system continuously broadcasts propaganda, warnings and bureaucratic messages to maintain the atmosphere.

The result is a dynamic social experiment where economics, enforcement and player decisions collide.

Core Features
Black Market Shops
Players can create illegal shops using a simple sign interface.

Example shop sign:

[BlackMarket]
Diamond
Price: 15

Features include:

• Locked shop inventories
• State Credit payments
• Player-owned commerce
• Secure chest-based stock storage
• Sign-based shop interface

Items cannot be stolen directly from the chest.
All purchases must go through the shop system.

Contraband System (NEW in v1.2)
Illegal goods purchased through the black market now carry hidden contraband markers.

Contraband items:

• cannot be visually distinguished from normal items
• can be detected by state inspections
• may be confiscated if discovered

This allows players to smuggle goods while creating real risk for illegal trading.

Heat / Suspicion System
Illegal activity generates Heat.

The more Heat a player accumulates, the more attention they attract from the State.

High Heat players risk:

• inspections
• confiscations
• raids
• public enforcement announcements

Heat is now fully managed by the SocialCredit Core API.

Random State Inspections (v1.2)
Inspection units now conduct random sweeps across the server.

During an inspection:

• inventories may be searched
• contraband can be confiscated
• additional Heat may be applied

Players caught with illegal goods may quickly find themselves under increased surveillance.

Heat-Based Black Market Pricing (NEW)
Known offenders now pay higher prices on the underground market.

The system automatically adjusts prices based on Heat levels.

Example behaviour:

Low Heat → normal prices
Medium Heat → higher prices
High Heat → significantly inflated prices

Turns out being a wanted criminal is bad for negotiating leverage.

Informant System
Players can secretly report suspicious activity.

Mechanics include:

• citizen reporting
• rewards for accurate reports
• penalties for false accusations
• anonymous intelligence reports

Informants introduce player-driven surveillance and paranoia.

State Inspections & Raids
If illegal activity grows too large, the State may intervene.

Possible enforcement events:

• inspections
• confiscation of goods
• enforcement broadcasts
• economic warnings

These events create dynamic gameplay moments across the server.

Propaganda & Administrative Announcements
The system regularly broadcasts state messages and propaganda to maintain the atmosphere.

Examples include:

• civic notices
• economic reminders
• security warnings
• suspicious activity alerts
• absurd bureaucratic statements

These broadcasts help make the world feel alive, oppressive and slightly ridiculous.

Discord Integration
The plugin integrates with the SocialCredit webhook system.

Events can be sent to Discord such as:

• state announcements
• enforcement events
• economic messages
• suspicious activity alerts

This extends the social experiment beyond the game itself.

Creating a Black Market Shop
Step 1
Place a chest and fill it with items you want to sell.

Step 2
Create a sign attached to the chest:

[BlackMarket]
Diamond
Price: 15

Step 3
Players can now purchase items using State Credits.

The chest remains locked to prevent theft.

Administration Tools
Admins can:

• reload the plugin
• trigger inspections
• test Discord integration
• open the Black Market control GUI
• debug the system

Example command:

Installation

1. Install the SocialCredit core plugin

3. Place the jar into /plugins
