With Timber, you are able to break entire trees with one break of a block (on any part of the tree). This includes tall jungle trees and trees with branches. Timber supports versions 1.8x to 1.13x. It is a relatively light weight plugin, so put it into your plugins folder, restart your server, and you're good to go!
To use the plugin, shift and break any part of the tree and it will timber! (Assuming you have the following permission below).
Permission: timber.use - Allow user to break entire trees
