Many modern plugins have a update checker built in. However, they can be quite frustrating. This plugin provides a solution for that.
UpdateCheckPlus solves this problem by giving you a clear overview of your plugins and which need to be updated. It can interpret version numbers intelligently, so even plugins using non-standard version numbering are no problem.
Setup
1. Download and install the plugin as normal.
2. Use /updatecheck. If no 'unknown' plugins show up, great, you're finished! Otherwise, continue reading.
3. For all unknown plugins, you need to add their Spigot resource ID to the configuration.json file. Look up the plugin's Spigot page (Bukkit is currently not supported) and copy it's ID. The ID is the last number in the URL, so for example https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/petsplus.52518/ would be 52518.
4. Enter this ID combined with the plugin name in the configuration.json. For example, you could add
"PetsPlus": 52518,
Make sure you add it in the correct section (in between the other plugins)
5. Use /updatecheck reload. If you did everything correctly, no unknown plugins should up anymore.
Permissions
updatecheckplus.check - Gives you access to /updatecheck
updatecheckplus.notifyjoin - Sends you a message on join if there are outdated plugins
