Wallet
Server-authoritative multi-currency economy for Bukkit, Spigot, and Paper
Discord & Support
------------------------------------------------------------
About
Wallet is the modern successor to CoinAPI. It provides server-owned balances, configurable currencies, safe player payments, withdrawable money items, and administration tools without trusting clients to calculate or modify money.
The server plugin works on its own. The optional Wallet client mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or Quilt adds an inventory balance display, a Wallet screen, and convenient withdrawal controls.
Features
- Multiple currencies with independent names, symbols, scoreboard objectives, visibility, and player-transfer policies
- Server-authoritative balances and validation for every transfer and withdrawal
- Player payments with per-currency policy enforcement
- Money vouchers that players can withdraw as items and redeem with right-click
- Vanilla administration GUI for currencies, backups, storage profiles, and migrations
- Automatic and manual backups with configurable intervals and retention
- Scoreboard, SQLite, and MongoDB storage
- Safe storage migration with preview, conflict detection, source and target backups, and explicit replacement mode
- English and German messages
- Optional client integration for inventory balances and Wallet controls
- Shared economy service for Uebliche Marketplace and other compatible plugins
Installation
- Download the Wallet server JAR matching your Minecraft version.
- Place it in the server's
pluginsdirectory. - Start the server once to create
plugins/Wallet/config.ymlandmessages.yml. - Configure currencies and storage in the files or open
/wallet adminin-game. - Optionally install the matching Wallet client mod for the inventory overlay and client Wallet screen.
No database is required for the default setup. Wallet starts with scoreboard storage and a configurable credits currency.
Compatibility
Version-specific server builds are available for supported Minecraft versions starting with 1.8. Use the Wallet JAR built for your exact Minecraft version. Paper is recommended for current Minecraft versions.

Storage and backups
Wallet supports any number of named storage profiles. Scoreboard storage is available immediately; SQLite and MongoDB profiles can be configured and connection-tested from the administration GUI.
Sensitive MongoDB connection strings are stored separately and are never shown back in item lore, logs, or migration archives. Active connection profiles are immutable: create a new profile, preview the migration, and confirm the switch instead of editing a live connection silently.
Every applied storage migration creates independent source and target backups first. Safe imports refuse conflicting balances, additive imports merge balances, and replacement imports require an explicit destructive confirmation.
Client integration
The optional client mod never owns the balance. It only displays snapshots sent by a compatible server. Disconnects and malformed snapshots hide the Wallet UI again, so the server remains the authority at all times.
