Whisp's Autobroadcaster
Hello everyone! Whisp here with a second plugin. I know, my names stink. I'm trying to think of a better one for this plugin, but that's the name for now. So, this plugin is an autobroadcaster plugin. It will broadcast however many messages you want however many minutes apart you want. These settings can be changed in the config file or via commands in game. This plugin has been tested and works on versions 1.10 through 1.14 though it uses the 1.13 Spigot API. When a stable version of Spigot 1.14 is released, I will update the API and test again. Please note that it may work on versions before 1.10 as well, but it is not tested there, nor will it be tested there. This will also not support any versions prior to 1.10, so if you use it on an earlier version and encounter errors, do not expect a fix to come. So, without further ado, the plugin information.
In the config file:
In the config file you will find several options you can change. First is a setting titled, 'enabled'. If this setting is true, the autobroadcaster will run at startup. If it is false, it will not. Enabling or disabling the autobroadcaster in-game will change this setting. The next setting is called, 'prefix-enabled'. If this setting is true, a prefix will display before the message; if it is false, the prefix will not display. After that comes a setting titled, 'prefix'. This setting is where you can change the prefix. Whatever you change it to, the prefix should always be between the two apostrophes. This is to ensure that the plugin reads it as a string and does not encounter any errors when trying to display it.
The fourth setting is 'prefix-color'. Here you can change the color of the prefix. Right after that is, 'message-color'. This is the same as 'prefix-color', but for the messages. All the different color options are a README.txt file included in the plugin download. After that, you will find a setting called, 'interval'. This is how many minutes will pass between displayed messages. Changing the interval in-game will change this setting. Lastly, there is a setting called, 'messages'. Below it you will see a list of messages. To add a message to the list, simply put your cursor at the end of the previous message, press enter, press the hyphen key (aka the minus key) once, press the spacebar once, and then type the message. Adding a message in-game will add a new message to the bottom of the list.
Commands:
This plugin has several commands that can be used in-game to change various settings. After running any of the commands, a reload or restart is not needed. Here is a list of all available commands:
/autobroadcaster
Alias: /ab
This command is the base command for the plugin. Running this will show the plugin help (which lists all of the available commands as well).
/autobroadcaster on
Alias: /ab on
This command will turn on the autobroadcaster if it is off. If settings were changed in the config while the broadcaster was off, the plugin will update to account for those changes when this command is executed.
/autobroadcaster off
Alias: /ab off
This command will turn off the autobroadcaster if it is on. While the autobroadcaster is off, settings can be changed, such as the colors.
/autobroadcaster add <message>
Alias: /ab add <message>
This command will add a message to the messages list for broadcasting.
/autobroadcaster remove <message number>
Alias: /ab remove <number>
This command will remove the message at the given number of the list.
/autobroadcaster interval <minutes>
Alias: /ab interval <minutes>
This command will change the time between broadcasts to the number of minutes given. This command will reset the timer to zero and broadcast the nest message.
/autobroadcaster prefixcolor <color>
Alias: /ab perfixcolor <color>
This command will allow you to change the color of the prefix in-game. The change will take effect in the next broadcast.
/autobroadcaster messagecolor <color>
Alias: /ab messagecolor <color>
This command will allow you to change the color of the messages in-game. The change will take effect in the next broadcast.
Permissions:
This plugin only has one permission node, as the commands are only meant to be executed by authorized server operators.
Autobroadcaster.ab
This permission allows use of all the autobroadcaster commands
To Dos:

Bug Reporting, Feedback, and Suggestions
If there is a bug, please let me know. The sooner I know, the sooner I'll fix it. If you want to suggest an addition to the plugin, I'd also like to know. More ideas means more features means more fun. Or perhaps you'd like to leave some feedback--something constructive and genuine. Something like this, perhaps: "Bruh, why? Ur plugin's bad. Go fix the stuffs." Then I'll know what you guys think of my work and how much I'm wasting my life at this keyboard. So, I suppose you want a way to actually give me such information. I am working on a website to house my plugin (and eventually mod projects) and a support forums, but it's not finished yet. So for now, reach me via email, Discord, or Google Hangouts. My handles are as follows: email: [email protected] Discord: WhispTheFox#5879 Google Hangouts: [email protected] (If you email me here I will never see it as I no longer use this email for email communications...too much spam. I will see it if you send me a message on Hangouts though.
End Notes:
Hey guys. I hope you all have enjoyed the two plugins that I've developed thus far. I think I mentioned in my "Whisp's TimTheEnchanter" plugin that I was working on a web page for all of my plugin projects and a forums page. I still am, but I have somewhat limited time to work on it as I am in the middle of final exams right now. So, since that page is not ready, I am going to write here what I am planning to write at the bottom of the page there. I have several more plugin projects planned and in progress, but I am working on everything by myself. I am looking to team up with a few individuals to help with development and testing of plugins. This will speed up the testing and debugging process, uncover errors that I might not find on my own, and speed up the overall production rate of updates. If you are at all interested, please don't hesitate to contact me through one of the methods above, or a comment here. If I don't respond within 24 hours try a different contact method. (I will see messages on Discord and Google Hangouts within a few seconds to several minutes since I have both apps on my phone and check them excessively, so those routes are your best bet). Thank you all for showing interest in my plugins and being a part of my journey as a programmer.
