4. Edit the configuration file to fit your needs.

Configuration File

The following configuration sections are the most important:

  • server.database
    • If you want to use a database connection to store data, ensure that this information is configured. If the database is disabled, a flat file will be used to save data instead.
  • areas.default
    • This is a list of the default protections that are applied to an area when it is created. For additional information aboue what each one of these protections do, see the Protections section of this guide.
  • areas.limit
    • The number of areas one player can have
  • events
    • Settings for each event to determine if players can listen to them through the /watch command
  • communication
    • In order to recieve external communications, this section must be configured to hook into your communications.
    • twilio
      • Allows sending SMS test messages. TO enable this, create a Twilio account and configure your sid, auth Token, and number here.
    • email
      • Uses an SMTP server to send email communications. Configure SMTP settings to allow email notificaitons
    • discord
      • In order to use Discord integration you MUST also be using DiscordSRV on your minecraft server

5. Once configured, start(or restart) your server and your configurations will be applied.

Basic Commands

All commands are documented in-game through the use of tab-complete. A detailed guide of the commands and how to use them can be found here .

  • /zx help
  • /zx verify

Creating Zones

Create a zone with /zone add <zoneName> . This will start the zone creation process where you place iron blocks around your area. Throwing the iron block will finalize the area.

Once created, see a list of all of your zones with /zone list and get detailed information about your zone with /zone info <zoneName> . View your zone border with /zone view <zoneName> and remove a zone with /zone remove <zoneName> .

Allow Access to zones

Once an area is created, accesss to the area can be limited to specific players. The following commands can be used to add or remove specific players from an area.

  • /zone allow <playerName> <zoneName>
  • /zone deny <playerName> <zoneName>
  • /zone deny all <zoneName>

Protecting your zone

When an area is creeated, some default protections are applied to the area to ensure you are the only one able to interact in the zone. Add or remove a protection with /zone <protectionName> <zoneName> .
