UPDATE: DCC v1.2.1 has been released with native Minecraft 1.13.x support!

If you are updating from a previous version before 1.2.1, there have been some changes to permissions. Make sure you update them to ensure players still have access to the plugin!

If you are updating from a previous version before 1.1, you must rename your "config.yml" file found in your server folders to "data.yml", otherwise the old stored data will not work correctly. You will also need to give players additional permissions to access /dcc color <color> from previous versions. See below for more info.

DefaultChatColor is a plugin that allows your server's users to change the default color and/or format they send messages in. It's all done by simple commands, and stored away in your server's files. Players only need to activate the command once and they're all set. No need to use the command each time they log in.

These colors are used in game with all DCC commands and permissions. More info in the Command and Permissions section. Please note that at this time, multiple formats cannot be used simultaneously. Support for this is planned in a future update.

• /defaultchatcolor (or /dcc)
  • Permission: defaultchatcolor.information
  • Default Access: All players
  • Description: View basic information about the plugin.
• /dcc help
  • Permission: defaultchatcolor.help
  • Default Access: All players
  • Description: View all DCC commands.
• /dcc list <colors / formats>
  • Permissions:
    • defaultchatcolor.list.* - Colors and formats
    • defaultchatcolor.list.colors - Colors only
    • defaultchatcolor.list.formats - Formats only
  • Default Access: OPs only
  • Description: View all valid color / format codes for players to choose from. Players will be able to see specifically which ones they have access to.
• /dcc color <color>
  • Permissions:
    • 1.2.1 and newer: defaultchatcolor.changecolor - Required to use the command.
    • 1.2.0 and older: defaultchatcolor.chatcolor - Required to use the command
    • defaultchatcolor.color.<format> - Access to specific colors
    • defaultchatcolor.color.* - Access to all colors
  • Default Access: OPs only
  • Description: Change your default chat color. For valid color options, use /dcc list colors. To reset chat format, use /dcc color reset.
  • Valid Arguments: See above image.
• /dcc format <format>
  • Permissions:
    • 1.2.1 and newer: defaultchatcolor.changeformat - Required to use the command
    • 1.2.0 and older: defaultchatcolor.format - Required to use the command
    • defaultchatcolor.format.<format> - Access to specific formats
    • defaultchatcolor.format.* - Access to all formats
  • Default Access: OPs only
  • Description: Change your default chat format. For valid format options, use /dcc list formats. To reset chat format, use /dcc format reset.
  • Valid Arguments: Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough, Magic
• /dcc changelog
  • Permission: defaultchatcolor.changelog
  • Default Access: All players
  • Description: See the latest changes to the plugin.

Additional Permission

• defaultchatcolor.*
  • Default Access: OPs only
  • Description: Grants access to all DCC commands.
